"The world will fade away as I lift my hands..."
"The King is worthy of praise He's the Great I Am."
"The joy you've given rings out as I lift my voice..."
"I'm captivated by your ways. So I will worship you!"

I believe one of the greatest miracles demonstrated by God is simply His ability to make all the cares... all the troubles... all the weight of this world just fade away. The moment we choose to worship Him, everything else just DISSOLVES...

The moment my heart yearns for worship... the moment it screams out... PRAISE HIM... The moment I choose to lift my hands... the world begins to vanish.  Suddenly... My heart is overwhelmed!  His Grace begins to carry me.  I begin to soar like an eagle. Looking down on the cares of this world and yet not feeling it's misery.  I begin to sing...  I lift my voice in honor of Him... Even in the midst of destruction, My lips begin to quiver as His joy beams across my face. Because of His Grace... Because of His Mercy... Because of His Love... He takes me away and carries me.
He carries me to VICTORY!

All the cares of this world disappear because Lord....
                      "You've Taken me by Love"
                  "You’ve taken me by Grace"
                      "You’ve taken me away"
                       "I can’t resist because..."
                      "You’ve taken my heart!"

                "You've Taken me by LOVE!"

"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever!"  Psalm 30:11-12

Being the ham she is, once again Serenity is a willing model for Eli to practice his photography skills.

She just LOVES to pose for the camera...

                                                      Aww.... She's so precious!

But even the most willing models can get impatient....

                                                    "Okay.... Are you done yet?"

"ELI... Can I go play NOW?"

                              "Oh Come on... ENOUGH ALREADY!"

Last night Tommy brought home another free beagle puppy. I'm amazed by the way God continues to use complete strangers to bless my husband... but....We now have 3 beagles in our back yard...

*Big Sigh*

Oh well... I do have to admit... she is VERY cute!  The kids absolutely LOVE her!  She was the runt of her litter and is a teeny tiny little thing.

                                  Noah named her Lil Rose.

Serenity has adopted her as her own little baby....

                                       "I'm your Mommy"
                                               And

"You're my Baby"
                                                                 Poor Lil Rose! lol

Eli... on the other hand... is

                                                        A very good Daddy!
See how he knows to support the bottom half. :)

Earlier they were playing house with Lil Rose.  Serenity made it clear...
"Eli you are the Daddy and I'm the Mommy, Okay?"
Eli agrees.  "Okay!"
Then immediately Serenity hands the puppy over to Eli & sternly replies...
"Now get her out! I don't like dirty dogs in my house."
Eli argues..."But her is just a LITTLE dirty dog."

Kind of gives you a birds eye view into our home life doesn't it? lol
Kids are so funny!

                                        Cute aren't they?
Uh.... yeah... Serenity will ALWAYS be Serenity! :)

                            Good News/Bad News

Good News:
The kids absolutely LOVE their new puppy! They Carry her EVERYWHERE and play with her ALL the time.
Bad News:  Serenity likes to put her in an Easter Basket and run through the house... basket swinging as she goes. The poor puppy has to hold on for dear life! :0

Good News:  The kids love to snuggle her.
Bad News:  The dog is completely spoiled rotten and WHINES LOUDLY every time we try to put her up for the night. :{

Good News:  Lil Rose has turned out to be quite a little watch dog
Bad News: The HUGE Rottweiler next door is completely unimpressed with her whiny, high pitched, sissy, little barks. :)

Bad News:  She's so tiny she has to stay in the house for NOW.
Good News:  She's going potty OUTside!  YAY!!!
Bad News:  Serenity noticed dogs have poor bathroom etiquette. Now she's TOTALLY grossed out...  "EEEEWWW Mom... She didn't wipe her bottom!  THAT'S GROSS!"   lol

Went to get groceries...  picked the kids up from school.... told the kids to take Lil Rose out for her afternoon potty break.... unloaded groceries.
As usual, I was walking through the house a mile a minute, when I passed by the curio in our living room.  I stopped... looked at the curio... tilted by head... hmm... something doesn't seem right... shook my head and took another gander.  Uh... yeah... something definitely is NOT right.  I burst out into laughter once I finally realize...

Lil Rose is sitting perfectly still on a glass shelf inside our curio!
Apparently, Serenity thought she was sooo cute that she needed to be on display.  The little dog didn't argue a bit.  She just sat there quietly and watched all the commotion. lol Poor Lil Rose!
I do have to admit though... I totally agree with Serenity.... I have seen very few knick knacks that could even compare with that little dog's cuteness!  :)

The new puppy had a bad reaction to some drops the vet gave her for an eye infection.  The right side of her face swelled and she couldn't close her right eye at all.   She was very quiet and not acting like her normal feisty self.
The poor lil thing was even trying to sleep with one eye open. We became very concerned with her. So I laid my hands on her and began to pray.  Afterward... I opened my eyes and Lil Rose had hers tightly closed.... swelling was gone! Praise God! :)
With every fiber of my being I KNOW God cares about even our smallest concerns... I witnessed His love too many times to believe otherwise! :)

"Cast ALL your cares on the Lord... For He cares for You" 1 Peter 5:7

"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."  John 14:13

For the last couple of weeks two words have been filling my mind...
                            Love Affair.

No.... it's not what you think!! :)  I'm talking about a spiritual love affair.  For the past couple of weeks, every time I go to pray the words "Love Affair" spill from my lips.

The image that springs to mind is one that is easily identified as your FIRST love.  Teenagers can easily relate to this image.  It's like... walking down the hallways in High School. You spot your secret crush. You casually pass by and your arm gently brushes against theirs.  Your heart races and your breath ceases until they are complete out of your sight.  The girls become giddy and turn to their group of friends..."He TOUCHED me!!  Did you see that? He actually TOUCHED me!"  They nearly faint from happiness! :) The guys brag..."Yeah... she went out of her way to touch my arm.  She knows I'm the man!"  Later.. you're sitting in English class and your crush is sitting directly in front of you.  Your teacher is reviewing a classic novel but you're too busy daydreaming to notice..."Wow, that is ABSOLUTELY THE most magnificent back of the head that I have EVER seen!"  Meanwhile your teacher is handing out 20 minute.. then 40 minute... DEtentions because you're not paying Attention! She begins yelling our name louder and louder... You're in some serious trouble but you don't hear a word she's saying because you're too busy FLOATING ON A CLOUD! :)

Too many Christians have become complacent in their love with our Lord.  We need to come back to that FIRST love! We need to be so in love with Jesus that we don't even NOTICE when trouble arises! We need to be.. not only willing, but.. EAGER to rush out and tell the world...
HE TOUCHED ME! HE TOUCHED ME!

We need to have a LOVE AFFAIR with our Lord!!  We need to seek His face and worship Him, not just because of what He can do for us, but simply because of WHO HE IS!!!  We need to fall in Love with our Savior all over again!  We need to have heart racing, earth shaking, completely breathless and yet HUNGRY eyes for our Savior!
We need to repent and RETURN TO OUR FIRST LOVE!

“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;  and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent." Revelation 2:2-5
